Tribeca Hebrew Chavurah Shabbat Dinner

Shabbat Shalom! All are welcome to join the chavurah for our November shabbat gathering at Dean’s Pizza.

Megan Sass, our Shabbat songleader, will lead us from 6pm-7pm downstairs then every family is on their own for dinner upstairs. If you aren’t exhausted, Downtown Community Center has Family Swim until 9pm.

Tribeca Hebrew families have joined together to form a new and informal “chavurah”. This website is now maintained by this new volunteer group. The activities of the group are still in the planning phase but we have collectively put a calendar in place that includes functions that we will hold ourselves and those that some of us have grown fond of over the years. There are opportunities for study and celebration. A new mission statement is in the process of being written but the central ideas of what we knew as Tribeca Hebrew remain strong:

“Tribeca Hebrew offers a welcoming environment in which children and their families can explore and express their connections with Judaism. Tribeca Hebrew’s programming strives to be fun, engaging and inspiring for children and their families. Our hope is that the Tribeca Hebrew experience will help build a foundation for Jewish identity and lifelong spiritual discovery. The Tribeca Hebrew community continues to grow organically and is not affiliated with any particular synagogue or Jewish movement. We come from varied backgrounds and believe this diversity makes Tribeca Hebrew a dynamic place to explore Jewish life.”
