Community Conversations, April 14th-17th

Dear fellow parents,

Each year we have held a community wide conversation that allowed each of us to share our personal backgrounds and goals for our children. At the end, we walked away with clear goals for the following year.

This year we have decided to engage in this conversation in a new way. Instead of having all 100 families together we will be reaching out to you in small groups so that we can better tailor the conversation to the ages of your children. Please join us for the community conversation date that corresponds to your oldest enrolled child.

Of course, if the proposed date doesn’t work for you, please let me know and we can meet one on one at a time that’s more convenient.

Your participation is important to us. As a parent-led organization, we rely on each other for insight and advice so that our children benefit from the diversity of our community.

Finally, these are not just conversations for the sake of conversation. Last year, the community gave us the mandate for more Spiritual Awe so we engaged Amichai Lau-Lavie to lead the entire High Holidays and our Kabbalat Shabbat Services. So what’s next? We hope you will join us and share your views.

Shabbat shalom,

Karie

Tribeca Hebrew offers a welcoming environment in which children and adults alike can explore and express their connections with Judaism. Tribeca Hebrew’s programming strives to be fun, engaging and inspiring for children and their families. Our hope is that the Tribeca Hebrew experience will help build a foundation for Jewish identity and lifelong spiritual discovery. The Tribeca Hebrew community continues to grow organically and is not affiliated with any particular synagogue or Jewish movement. We come from varied backgrounds and believe this diversity makes Tribeca Hebrew a dynamic place to explore Jewish life.
